No Child Left Behind…Bars Campaign: The No Child Left Behind…Bars campaign seeks to create and advocate for alternatives to incarceration: better Schools, real jobs, and healthy communities. The campaign addresses the following problems identified at the 1st Annual Central Valley-wide Youth Organizing Conference held at CSU, Fresno in October 2003.

Youth Justice: Prevention, intervention, law, gangs, racism in the system, over-incarceration of youth of color, disparate treatment of youth, youth discrimination and unequal treatment of youth, ageism, curfews, culture of fear, Prop 21.

Educational Equity: California High School Exit exam, unequal resources, disparate expulsion and suspension rates, curriculum not culturally appropriate, racism in schools, zero-tolerance, dress codes, LGBTIQ/Queer rights, student rights and fair discipline, resources for learning, A-G requirements.
