“These strategies, also referred to as praxis, includes individual, organizational, and community capacity building strategies such as political education workshops, cultural identity development courses, leadership trainings/opportunities, strategy and action planning sessions, action research, policy development, grassroots organizing, evaluation and strategic planning, and other forms of experiential and constructivist learning. As critical, youth organizing, as a pedagogy of love, includes young people and adult allies believing in the power of young people.
Characteristics of A Pedagogy of Love Organizing Strategy:
Active listening-The full participation of individuals hearing one another out
Soul Power- A love and belief in humanity
Respectful, Reciprocal, Reinventing- Caring, Sharing, Rethinking our thinking
Truthful and Honest- Integrity in attitude and actions
Nonjudgemental- Anti-bias and open to opportunity and challenges
